Our Students; Who do we serve?

  • Any student 14 to 21 on an IEP is eligible for transition services.
  • Students that are not on an IEP, may have a physical disability and be on a 504 plan. These students could be found eligible for employment services through vocational rehabilitation. Contact your TNF at IMESD or your local VR office for more information.
  • Students that have emotional/mental health disabilities, may be on a behavioral plan or in a alternate education program. These students may be able to receive supported employment services through your county mental health services. There are certain requirements to be eligible for these services so check with your TNF at IMESD or with your local county mental health services provider.

For more information on student eligibility for transition services, what types of services are available and how to engage in those services through your local school, contact your special education teacher/case manager, special education director, or your TNF, Lon Thornburg: lon.thornburg@imesd.k12.or.us; (541) 966-3162
